

ICDP GHANA took the STAGE project to 13 beneficiary communities in Akuapem South District. These communities are; Pakro, Adjenase Piem, Ankwansu, Obosono, Dago, Kwame Ntow, Dumpong, Oboadaka 1, Oboadaka 2, Pokrom Nsabaa, Attakrom-Amanfrom, Otiakrom, and Obodan making it the second cohort since its collaboration with World Ed Ghana and the support from UKAID. At the end of the cohort 2, ICDP Ghana hosted graduation ceremonies for all beneficiaries in the 13 communities with the objectives being;
1. To create a platform for the STAGE girls to end their ALP & VST training.
2. To provide NVTI certificates to the girls.
3. To exhibit products made by the STAGE girls.
4. To appreciate facilitators C.O.Cs and community stakeholders for their support of the project.
In total, 322 girls from these communities graduated with skills across, baking, soap making, bead making and hair dressing. They have been equipped with numeracy and literacy and relevant life skills to enable them build lives for themselves and their families.
